  • I wish I had read the reviews before using this company but I thought since I used them previously and I had no issues with them the first time then the 2nd time was a no brainer. Well I was totally wrong. West Coast Movers were supposed to pick up my stuff in July and they were 2 days late. They said they'd give me some compensation for being late but I never received it. They subcontracted my move without telling me to another company called Express 1 Moving in NJ. Once my things were loaded the price increased by a thousand. Two weeks after they picked up my things I called the West Coast movers and the subcontracted company (Express 1 Moving) to tell them I am ready to have my things delivered. I was suppose to get a call back in 3 days from Express 1 Moving so they can look at their schedule but never received a call back. I called several times, left voicemails, and when I finally got a hold of someone I was told I would get a call back but didn't. When I finally told them and West Coast Movers that I will be calling the police then I received a text message from Express 1 telling me that my things were on it's way and they would call me in a couple hours to give me the drivers name and estimated delivery. Of course I did not get a call. I called West Coast Movers to see if they could help me and they said their hands are tied and all they can do is call like I have been. HELLO you are the one that subcontracted them!!!! WTF!! I understand they have 21 business days from the earliest delivery date to deliver but that doesn't mean you should not return phone calls. Long story short after calling and leaving voicemails at both companies for 2 weeks and not hearing anything from them I received a call out of the blue from the driver telling me he will be there the next day to deliver. It took them 6 weeks to deliver my things from the East Coast to the West Coast. The driver was great and all my items were accounted for but one lamp was broken and I still have to go through my boxes. Only good thing I can say is the drivers were great. Not sure why both of them companies have poor customer service. Next time I'll rent a truck and do it myself.
