We come here a lot for sushi because the fish is always great quality. The kitchen clearly places a lot of emphasis on presentation. Each roll is always beautifully crafted. The menu has a very ample variety of standard Japanese fare (hibachi meals, noodles etc).
It's usually pretty quiet. Although it's very close to UNCC the college crowds come and go in small groups and typically go unnoticed.
Service is always friendly, its clearly a family business and you can tell. The servers aren't always perfect but consistently good.
I'd love to see this place get a remodel. The ambiance could definitely use an upgrade. But I'll probably keep coming even if they never remodel, because the food is very consistently excellent.
