| - I have never been to the restaurant itself as me and my roommate have only been ordering online, but I cannot wait to find the time to actually go there. We have a bad habit of ordering food when we're tired instead of cooking (really, ask our banker, he's not very happy with us right now) but we are still trying to maintain a healthy lifestyle. We were very happy to find Aux Vivres and it has become our undisputed food provider for lazy days, and for others too.
We are both vegan and it can sometimes be tricky to find good, fresh and healthy food for a reasonable price. Now I won't say Aux Vivres is cheap, but the food is worth the price, and we have not been disappointed once. Not once! And we've tried a lot of different things, from their burgers to their sandwiches, their specialties to their desserts, and even their brunch! (You can tell we have a lot of "lazy days", I'm not even ashamed)
I have to say, one of the best thing about Aux Vivres is that even if it is considered a "trendy" place, your grandmother would still approve of the portions (you know, the one who keeps saying that you need to "put some meat on those bones")! I had a hard time finishing the sandwich in one sitting, and you can be sure that every single item on the menu will probably fill you up! (One thing to remember when you want to order dessert, take something on the lighter side before! And no, not the sandwich!)
We would recommend the Chili Fries, the Vege Burger and their brownies, especially for non-vegans eating there! Otherwise, everything else is absolutely delicious and it mostly depends on your personal tastes!
