| - I bought a voucher from LivingSocial that was supposed to be for "Three Full-Service Oil Changes from Auto Care Super Saver L. AAMCO: 8225 East Butherus Drive, Scottsdale, AZ 85260."
When I was ready to use the voucher for an oil change, I found I had to go to another web site and request that the card be mailed to me. That took a few weeks.
I called for an appointment yesterday, and they said they could get me in today at 9:00. I showed up on time, and they said it would take a couple of hours. A couple of hours for an oil change with an appointment? Oh, well, I sat down and waited. A half hour into the wait, the technician came out and told me that my car took synthetic oil, and that would be extra. Although I had never been charged extra in the 8 years I've owned this car, I felt as if I had no choice at that point, I told him to go ahead.
The charges for this free oil change? $49.15. That, plus the $29 I paid for the voucher, comes to $78.15 for one oil change. It ended up taking 1 hour and 13 minutes. I will donate the extra "free" oil changes to some unsuspecting soul.
This is a scam, and I won't be back.
