The manager via phone suggested to the tech they give me a $5 discount and then direct me to a nearby gas station and get cash ($3.50 service charge) to complete payment. I went to my bank and got cash, and returned and paid my bill. They offered a 25% discount off of future service for my inconvenience at the "Take 5" oil change service. I declined as I will not be inconveniencing them with my patronage ever again.
