| - Really unimpressed with my experience with the customer serive greetings department and lost & founds department... I checked out of the room on Monday, May 21st. The next day, I call in the lost & founds department in the afternoon to ask them if they were able to leave my rose gold ring on the nightstand. No answer. The following day, I leave them a message/voicemail letting them know, again same thing, the next day still no answer... a week goes by and I end up getting a phone call in the A.M, I missed it, so I showed up in person finally because I knew if I didn't get there myself, with such a bad calling back customer system they have going on I have to deal with this situation clearly myself. I show up at the front desk, I won't say names but the gentleman this afternoon on March 28th greeted me with a simple Hello, told him my situation about the ring and how I'm here to pick it up. He sends a janitor looking for it in a room they keep their lost & founds items in. The janitor who was on site had absolutely no idea what the concierge was telling him to do, he was lost for words and had no idea what to look for...(mainly because he only understands Chinese), the concierge sends him off, I waited patiently for a good nearly 20 minutes with no signs of my ring being found. When the janitor came back up he said he did not find anything and he was sorry. Despite him not having known where to look correctly, perhaps, I still thanked him for his help. The concierge was helping and greeting other customers in the mean time while I waited, but he simply did not acknowledge my help and was left with no goodbye greetings nor did I receive a simple I will get the maids to contact you again in the morning. To me, this is very bad customer service and you can tell the kinds of people in this world who truly enjoy what they do... No goodbyes, No hellos for me with Hotel Dorval.
