  • Everything the other reviewers have written is true: this is a well done museum for anyone and an exceptional one for fans of Andy Warhol. Here are a few tips to make the visit better: The museum has its own parking lot where you can park for a fee ($8). The poles on the lot are painted pink so you get a little bit of Andy before you enter. Pittsburgh is full of one way streets; parking is on the block north of the museum on Sandusky on the opposite side of the street. Start on the top floor and read the entries on the wall across from the elevator before you enter the rooms. They will give you the summary of Andy's fascinating life. Or better yet, take a tour. Don't skip the archives floor. It's poorly named and sounds like it would be boring. There is a room that shows items from his estate, mostly health-related. Andy was obsessed with his appearance and skin specifically and it's fascinating to see all of the products he used. Leave yourself time to watch some video. At one point in his life Andy stopped painting and decided to just do film; it's an entirely different way to experience his art. Overall a wonderful tribute to the artist and an entertaining education on how pop art evolved.
