| - My husband and I were approached while out on stroll down the Las Vegas Strip and was stopped by a really nice guy that wanted to offer us show tickets, we told him we weren't interested but he persisted adding on additional incentives if we agreed to hear him out. So we did, the main incentive being $140 in cash. After taking the bait we were told about the Jockey Club and a 90 minute presentation that we'd have to sit through for us to get gifts and incentives. Since we had nothing planned this day it seemed fine enough. After the first guy we met on the street was done with us he brought us to another guy who then brought us to a waiting room. Here is where we met Anthony he seemed like a nice guy kept giving both my husband and I a ton of compliments. Anthony then leads us to the presentation room, where a bunch of other couples were already seated.
The actual presentation went by pretty quickly. Once done Anthony then brought us over to the Cosmopolitan saying that the Jockey Club and the Cosmopolitan had a partnership so if we signed up we could stay at either one as many times as we wanted for only $219.00 a week. WOW a week, really that cheap! Sounded too good to be true. I made it clear to Anthony that we go on vacation all the time and the way we vacation works for us so we didn't have any interest in signing up. Then he says what if the hotel you always stay at is a part of RCI program will you sign up then, I said sure. So they show us the RCI book full of hotels, our hotel was not in the book. So then he brought us over to a computer typed in the hotel we always stay at and BAM there it was. This is the point when my husband and I started to lose all sense of reason and started contemplating signing up. But I still wasn't convinced.
Then a loud bald guy sat down with us saying that he would give us the program at half the normal price, then he threw in two free vacations flight included for both Hawaii and Vegas. After much debate my husband and I decided to just do it. I asked Anthony when would I be able to book my hotel since we already have a trip planned for July, He stated everything would be setup and complete in 3 weeks. Then I asked what is my guarantee in the event our hotel won't let us book through this program, he stated we could then cancel the program. So once again my fears and apprehension were settled.
We paid a deposit and then went to a room where the paper work was signed and the whole conversation was recorded. Taylor is the lady that did our paper work, when all was said and done my husband and I were feeling like we did the right thing since it would save us money on the vacation we already had planned and for future vacations to come. We left Vegas a couple days later. Once back at home, I looked up Sapphire/Starpoint/GeoHoliday and saw a bunch of bad reviews. That's when it hit me, we had been SCAMMED. Everything they said to us was a lie, but thank God I read the reviews... I was intending to wait the 3 weeks to see if this really would work for our upcoming vacation and if I had waited we'd be stuck in a worthless contract paying Sapphire for the next 45 years. Luckily the reviews online told the truth I only had 5 DAYS to cancel, and I was still within the window. So I sent my cancellation documents overnight mail, and thankfully our contract is in the process of being cancelled.
Please learn from our experience these people will come off as good honest people but they are all part of SCAM. They don't care about you, or saving you money on your vacation all they want to do is take your money from you... And they will LIE, LIE, AND LIE to do it!
