Don't trust the service team. I've had a lot of experience with them. We have given them the benefit of the doubt over and over. The first time, my wife didn't tighten the gas cap when getting gas and an indicator light went on. That cost $500 at Team Ford.....for a gas cap. During that visit, they pressed us to buy tires when they were less than 5,000 miles old. Then her emergency brake cable broke. Ford quoted $1,000 to fix. I went elsewhere and it was $70. This last time, we had a recall so we brought it in. They fixed it but also told us our AC compressor had a leak. And this is what really sickens me. They said that it had a leak and that they even had pictures of how bad it was spewing out oil and the AC test green dye. My TRUSTWORTHY tech, not at Team Ford, confirmed that it looked like they sprayed a massive amount of green dye underneath the vehicle to simulate a leak, and I haven't seen a drop of oil on the ground. So glad i didn't pay the $1,300 they quoted me. The AC is fine. But I am really questioning if I will ever buy a Ford again based on this last experience. We've had 5 Fords in a row. It's a great product, but the reputation is spoiled by their service.
