  • My interactions with the service writers and the mechanic warrant the extra star. They were quite polite and great to meet and talk to. That being said, I took my truck in to get it looked at. It was having trouble starting in the morning. These folks at Comb's kept it over the weekend and got back to me Monday morning. Quoted me just shy of 2 grand for front brakes, and a fuel pump. Told me the fuel pump regulator was causing the issue and the entire assembly needed replaced. Ok, no problem. Here I am a couple of weeks later, with a squealing noise coming from the front end that wasn't present when I brought it in, decided not to call about it after the same problem I brought it in for, has resurfaced. Upon receiving the results of the diagnostic the service writer quoted me $150 to replace the serpentine belt. That threw me off. OEM part is only $31 and some change. I understand, labor, and a slight mark up on price of the part. However, it's just a tension pulley holding the belt on, and $150 is almost a 500% mark up for something I could change for $31 bucks and five minutes of my time. The reviews of this establishment was what drove me to trying them out. It would seem my experience was an isolated incident by the looks of the reviews. All the same, not the greatest first impression overall. Thanks for the courteous demeanor, and no thank you on the service. All the best in your future endeavors, folks.
