  • I went to Earnhardt to extend the lease on my current car. I did not want to have to put money down on a new lease. I dealt with Leo Suhargo, who leased me 3 cars over the past 9 years. Leo told me it would be cheaper to lease a new car since I would get my security deposit of $4500 back, and the monthly payments were about the same. (He did a 3 year on the new car but I had a 2 year on the old car!) He showed me the comparable new car, which didn't have parking assist or the luxury package like my old car, because he said they don't offer those features anymore. I don't thinks that's true. Regardless, after spending over 3 hours at the dealership for prep and paperwork, I drove away with my new car. Leo called me the next morning to tell me he had made a mistake and there was no $4500 security deposit or refund! He said his manager was willing to give me $500! What an insult! So Leo's BIG mistake is now my misfortune as the dealership is not willing to take responsibility. I am considering taking the car back. I will never do business with Earnhardt again. There are too many other options to settle for such poor service. Update: 2 business days later I received a call from the General Manager. He offered to take the car back and give me my old car. I told him I wanted the $4500 I was promised. It was a long conversation, back and forth. I finally asked for my down payment refunded, which was $3000. The GM said he would see if Leo wanted to write me a personal check and would call me back. He called back at the end of the day to say he would mail me a check for $3000, with the agreement that I would continue to do business with Earnhardt. Bottom line - I didn't get what I was promised, but after fighting for it, I got 67% and no out-of-pocket expense up front. Would have been a 4 or 5 star if I had received the entire refund and I had not had to fight for it.
