  • Despite the high price of admission, Fogo is our favorite restaurant and we look for occasions or excuses to splurge. We first experienced Fogo in Philadelphia, but this location is even better, mostly from a service perspective (since their menus are the same). At this location, it is not hard to sample all the meat, even the more expensive tenderloin and ribeye. You start your meal at the salad bar (which could be a meal in itself if you have vegetarian friends), which has great selections including fresh mozzarella, smoked salmon, prosciutto, and the best apple salad I've had anywhere. And then, onto the main course, an all-you-can-eat meat extravaganza. You control the pace of your meal by indicating when the servers should come by and carve your selection table-side off of large skewers. It's like getting dinner and a show as the gauchos dart through the dining room with sizzling hot selections. Our favorite is the house special, Picanha, and of course the bacon-wrapped filet mignon. While chowing down you are also given unlimited side dishes, including airy, irresistible cheese bread, crispy fried polenta, garlic mashed potatoes, and carmelized bananas. And, if you save room for dessert, their creme brulee is second to none. I wouldn't recommend their cakes though.
