  • I've been to Hotel Arts for business meetings, this morning included. The decor is cool and I like the indie/alternative background music, but I find the place kind of dim. That might be fine on a rainy day, but being inside this hotel on a sunny summer morning does not make me excited to be here. I also like the decor of the restaurant but it too is dark and I feel the urge to leave quickly to return to daylight. I have always found the servers to be short. Not in height, but in how they deal with you. No introductions, very few words are used and interaction is limited. The woman I was meeting told me that her hotel room is dark too and that it's tough to put on make-up. Clearly she went the safe route by applying lightly, avoiding looking like Mimi from The Drew Carey Show. I wouldn't recommend this venue and would rather treat it as an art gallery.
