Angie can cook. But there are some items that need to be "tweeked" The food is flavored well and has a pleasant aftertast. You can sit down and eat here but I would bill it as take out. No, its not top notch soul food, that does not exist in vegas, but it makes an attempt at southrn cuisine and does well in some areas more than others. I am NOT a fan of the mac and cheese which is in dire need of an updated recipe. The smothered meals are worth the visit as well as the banana pudding. The flavors can be a bit strong and less than traditional, for example the cabbage, corn, meat loaf and mashed could benefit from a more traditional recipe update. I believe black people, especially, should support Angies as much if not more than they support the chinese food. I also believe Angie should grow and work on her quality and finding knockout recipes that will truly compliment her vision and business.
