Ok I wrote a review while I was standing in line to get my rental car based upon my previous rental car experience. I am now writing an update based upon this past time. I waited to do so as I was afraid of some kind of backlash while I was still renting from them.
When I finally go to speak to an agent (long lines and only two agents) I was greated with a smile until I started declining everything and yes even the gas I declined. The agent was trying to scare me into taking their own insurance. He even told me that if I return the car early that they were going to penalize me and charge me more money. I was like excuse me??? So if I return the car an hour earlier than I stated then they were going to charge me more money and he said that's right. I have never heard of that before. An hour earlier than I stated. Then he said he is going to charge me $150 for the rental car. I know taking a deposit is something the rental car agencies do but he didn't say it like that so I asked politely, is this for a deposit or a charge to which he glared at me and said charge and I was confused at that point and told him I have a prepaid rental car agreement so I don't know about the $150 and I think he meant deposit. Then he printed my paperwork out and flung it on the counter and looked away as to ignore me. I asked when can I find my car and he just pointed out the door. Very bad service.
Now let's get to the vehicle. We rented a van to which we got a basic older Toyota Sienna and by basic I mean no power doors. The tires were balding, interior was all dusty and the damage they marked on the paperwork was just a fraction of what was actually on the van. You can tell the van was touched up and it was wasn't a good job either so I decided to video all the damage on it just in case they tried to blame me for something that was already there.
The only good experience I had was with the guard and the shuttle driver other than that I would give it one star.
Don't think I want to be treated like I did for a mediocre vehicle with bad tires and having to go one extra step in catching two shuttles.
