The first time I went here was the first time I ever had foot reflexology. I had a Groupon. Boy was I in for a shock. With the title "foot" in the name, that's what I thought I was getting... foot reflexology.
My reflexologist soaked my feet. Then he started rubbing my scalp. I thought maybe he was killing time while my feet soaked. Then he moved to my sholders and my neck. Then came my arms. It felt amazing, but I began to wonder when he would get to my feet.
The time finally arrived! He pulled my feet out of the water and dried them off. Oh joy! I do love a foot massage! He spent a hot 10 minutes on my feet before he went on to my legs and told me to flip over.
I turned over and fit my face into the little hole in the top of the bed. He then started rubbing my sholders again. Well, it did feel pretty great so I didn't say anything. When he pulled up my shirt and unhooked my bra I had a frozen look of sheer horror.
All sorts of things went through my head. Was he going to remove anything else? What if he takes off his clothes? I layed very still, bewildered. He rubbed his elbow into my lower back and a pain I was having magically went away. At that point my inhibitions were gone.
I relayed this story to my coworkers the next day, who couldn't stop laughing. Apparently this practice of full body massage is pretty standard with reflexology. Well, I guess you learn something new everyday.
