| - I would not hire this company. They are cheap but they also don't do a very good job. They do maid service and landscaping (some of the time) for $65. The maid service is rushed without attention to detail. They also don't seem to use cleaning product since whenever we'd get home it never smells different. The "landscaping" is basically mow and edge any grass. Some of the things, which will undoubtedly happen to you too, are incredibly frustrating.
Let's start with how they BREAK things and do not even leave a note:
- They broke the plastic mechanism in our trash can (at back which raises/lowers lid w/ foot pedal movement)
- The guest bathroom shower head was snapped off at the plastic connector at the back where it meets the shower arm coming out of the wall. No note, they just left it in the tub. We found it a few days later.
Here's what else:
- We are required to pick-up and put away basically everything left out on any counters because it will reappear in completely random places
- The maids are too aggressive in their cleaning and frequently scratch our things:
-- The paint on our dresser is now all scratched up
-- One of the toilet seat tops is completely covered in scratches
-- The stove beneath the burner covers now has tons of scratches
- They also do inconsiderate things like close the door to the room where our cats' food, water, and litter is (this happened every time)
I contacted them about cancelling our service and to be reimbursed for the showerhead and that month's service. They gave me the money for the showerhead but completely scoffed that reimbursement for the month's fee. Here's their response, it seems they put it to a vote and no one wanted to pay me back...like there would be any other outcome:
"Since we are part of a non-profit organization (that is why we can come up with such low rates), and all the money residents pay go straight to all of the people involved in the organization and actually working. The ladies, the landscaper, the coordinator, management and administration provided a service and we all deserve to be compensated for it. We understand that ladies work was not to your satisfaction, but still they provided a service, and deserve payment. Ladies agreed to pay for the broken shower head but did not agree to reimburse the service cost and to work for free and neither did the rest of the staff."
I contacted Summerlin HOA for help in resolving this but they said they have nothing to do with the HOA or Howard Hughes Corp and are using the Summerlin name in violation of copyright laws.
Not worth it. Do not recommend.

*update: I filed a Better Business Bureau complaint as well which just 'closed without resolution' as expected. In their last response they accused me of 'blackmail' trying to get a 'free service'...still completely missing the point about expecting a certain quality of work. Summerlin Maids, if you're reading this...I don't really care about the $65, I just think you should hold your workers to a higher standard. It's pretty simple.
Their BBB reply goes on to say I'm "behaving like a spoiled little girl having a tantrum because she didn't get her way". I'm a boy but I'll let it slide. I'm also accused of trying to ruin their reputation by leaving this review. You be the judge but in my opinion it is completely factual with specific examples annotated, it is not vindictive nor is it exaggerated. Summerlin Maids is 0/3 on reviews currently...the people are speaking. Hmmm, maybe they ought to look at their service?
Nah, they're just people throwing tantrums.
