I live in Anthem and I needed a new disposal. I like to support my local Anthem business so I decided to go to Ace instead of Home Depot. Bought a Ace garbage disposal and had it installed. The disposal broke two months later. My repairman said he thinks there is a 2 year In Home warranty and they will come to the home and I would not need him. Called the store and talked to the female store manager. I wanted the owner but they said he was unavailable.
She said there is no In Home warranty and labor of removal/installing is on me.
I later found my original box which clearly shows it had a In-Home warranty. Paid my repairman to remove the disposal, brought it in, and confronted the same store manager. I made her read the box about the warranty and she danced around agreeing that my labor should be covered and I should not have needed a repairman. I gave up discussing this with her and said just replace the unit. They were out of the unit and only had another unit which was $10.00 more. I said lets call this even and just give me the other in exchange to cover my labor and inconvenience. She needed to call the owner to get an OK to do this. She came back saying she can't do this.
Obviously, the owner and store manager never went to customer service school.
I paid the additional cost and took the new unit.
They have lost a future customer and I will inform all my contacts in Anthem, if they ask me where to go, to avoid going to the Ace in Anthem.
