| - Disclaimer: we actually planned to go to Hakkasan for Cavin Harris.
I had always wanted to check out XS bc I heard it was the best of the best, especially in terms of atmosphere but for the night we were there, Guetta was at XS and the last time I saw him he was terrible. At the last minute, we shifted plans though, because someone we knew got a table at XS which ironically was where I had first wanted to check out. I am SO glad we switched plans. XS is amazing. Every detail in terms of decoration (as is in all of Encore and Wynn) is thought out and well positioned. I know people are saying it's crowded but I expected that at any club and from what I've heard you literally cannot move in Hakkasan. I can confidently say that the night David Guetta was XS, though crowded, you could comfortably get around. To my surprise, Guetta did a much better performance at XS than the last time I saw him (music fest a couple years back) so that was a pleasant surprise. Our bottle waitresses (two blondes) were really nice, and they got some stragglers who were in our table area away so we appreciated that. I have to admit, we met a lot of awesome people at XS. I found the crowd overall to be very friendly, everyone was there to have a good time. XS you have won me over. If you're only in town for a short period of time and are stuck between Hakkasan and XS like we were.... I'll make it easy for you, do XS. You won't regret it.
Random Aside: big ups to the security guy who was manning outside on 3/7.....he checked our stamps to let us back in then some drunk ass biddy legit cut right in front of us as we were trying to walk in, there was a shove from her too....the security guard, who i thought was going to let her get away with this said "excuse me, do you see the people who are standing here who you just cut? get back in line, wait like you are supposed to and let them in first as they were here first"......seems like a little detail but I'm from NYC, I don't do entitled chicks who think they can cut like that for no apparent reason, so I greatly appreciated security actually being decent.
