  • This golf course is the poorest quality course in the Charlotte area. Im not kidding when i say that there aren't even fairways - it's just rough. The owners don't offer any type of discount(s). For example, after 3pm the price is still the same as if you went during peak hours. I have gone to multiple course around the CLT area and have been offered lower rates based on time, temperature, etc.. And these are VERY nice courses. Green (Jokes) Oaks has unfriendly management, poor greens, and eroding cart paths with major pot holes. I have played there 3 or 4 times in the hopes that they would "get to know me" and offer some friendly/welcoming discount based on the fact that not very many people go play there, yet time and time again they rudely remind me that there will be no discount. I will NEVER go play there again ..unless of course they get new management and a new grounds keeper. I would sell my golf clubs before I go play there again. STAY AWAY! 1/2 star out of 5 rating. The fact is, most people going to play here are beginner golfers, and are looking for a friendly and welcoming atmosphere to learn the game. Well Green Oaks is not it! The holes are so poorly designed that half the time the guy on the other fairway is hitting his ball onto your fairway. This is due to the fact that some holes have fairways running side by side with no separation in between. All I have to say is "Watch Out!" Tell your friends and all the golf-lovers you know to stay away from Green Oaks, or take my word for it, you will be sorry. Now I know that I have ripped into Green Oaks quite a bit, and rightly so, but the truth is that if they lowered their rate to a truer value, say...somewhere in the $17 range, then this golf course would not be receiving the review that it is.
