  • I arrived at 1:00 PM on a Wednesday afternoon. Good size crowd, which is a good sign when choosing a restaurant for the first time. The folks behind the counter were very friendly. I ordered the smothered pork chops, cabbage, and yellow rice. All three had decent flavor, BUT everything was slightly overcooked and the cornbread was dry. I love soul food, and the size of the crowd tells me that people like this place. I might give the place another try in the future, but I wasn't super impressed with my first visit.
