  • I have stayed at many Sandman locations (thanks work for having an account) and this was my favorite. The check in was with ease and a lot of friendliness and eager helpfulness. The room was pretty awesome. It was a suite which I like as its more "condo" than "bedroom". After a long day I don't want to spend my night eating supper on my bed in a bedroom. The room has a nice couch and table area, a pretty full kitchen with fridge, microwave, stove and coffee maker. There was a really nice working desk area with free Wi-Fi (important!), and stationary supplies and a handy plug-in. The bathroom was pretty high end with a high power shower (awwww), lots of fluffy towels and a nice clean counter for me to mess up with my junk. The bedroom was a separate room (score), with a huge king bed, lots of pillows and it was a corner room so the bed was surrounded by windows and cool views of the downtown on one side and the airport on the other (I like seeing the huge planes). Both areas had big LCD screens and the bedroom had a nice strong AC unit to cut the melting Toronto heat. I did spend time in the hot tub which was quite relaxing at the end of a work day, and the pool was fair-sized as well. I had room service once from the attached Moxies which was fast and decently fresh (what can you expect from room service really). The lobby has a coffee/latte/pastry bar for escaping in the AM to work and not having to worry about hitting coffee shops on the way. Uber convenient. Overall a great stay in a nice clean and relatively new feeling hotel. I would come back for sure.
