  • I love (love love) the Windsor-Federal-Joyride block for taking out of town guests out to dinner in Phoenix. It shows folks (no matter what they're in the mood for) why Phoenix is getting that foodie-city reputation without breaking the bank. Windsor is the comfort/bar food option and I will happily get fat off their mac and cheese or that killer crab cake BLT. But they also have good beers, sharp servers, and that dark comfy bar atmosphere (or on a nice day, that airy garden patio vibe) that sometimes hits the spot. Plus you can order Churn delivered to your table. I mean, come on. Why not five stars? Because when its crowded, IT'S CROWDED. That means everything feels rushed and claustrophobic. So, I can't ever recommend this place on a Friday or Saturday night. PRO-TIP: Join their e-posse. They email great coupons and freebies.
