I have wanted to try this restaurant for a while now and since it was my wife's birthday we decided to try it for lunch after we had a relaxing massage next door at The Spa at Lakeside. When you first walk in the restaurant you walk through a wine store and the restaurant is beyond that. We sat on the patio, it was a hot day in Vegas but they do have misters on the patio which help to keep the temp down. If you don't want to sit on the patio they do have an inside area that is air conditioned. The view was beautiful and the service was outstanding.
What I really liked about this restaurant is you can actually hear each other talk versus most other restaurants today where it is so noisy you cannot hear what anyone has to say! The food was exceptional. I had the Salmon Sandwich and my wife decided to make two appetizers her meal, she had the crab cake which was good however we always compare crab cakes to the ones we have had at Santa Anita's front runner room. At the Front runner they use very little breading and make a hard shell and the crab meat is inside the shell. By far the best we have ever had. This one was good as well and while not as good as the Front runner it is one of the better ones we have had in Vegas. She also had the Truffled Goad Cheese Napoleon which she loved and would definitely get again.
The portions were decent size and my sandwich also came with a choice of salad or fries. I went for the salad with a poppy seed vinaigrette dressing. We did not have any desert but they sounded great! The prices were not all that bad and are actually in line with a Boca park chain restaurant with the initials CF. In an area of town that is a food desert (unless you count the national chains) this certainly is a hidden gem. I will definitely be back and bring lots of friends and family to this restaurant.
