| - I used to go this office, but as other reviewers have noted, they made a pair of glasses wrong (one lens blurred, could not read with that eye), and then told me, well, your other eye will compensate so you can still read. Really???? What a great way to handle an error in the production of the glasses, and they were snooty about it......"Well, then you'll have to see the Dr again, and no, he is not available." No offer to look up his schedule and see when I could see him again or another Dr. After the poor response to the problem (you would think they would have some professional way to deal with when glasses come back from the mfr/lens maker and there is an unexpected issue, but their response is "attitude"). I told them I'm not a patient here any longer and took my useless glasses home and resolved to find a quality optometry office and start over. Another thing.....in your exam, they offer to take optional (extra cost) retina photos so you can also have a look at your retinas on a computer screen, using a clumsy big cube-shaped camera. You sit there and they have you smash your face up against a glass panel on the front while they take repeated attempts to get a good photo of your retina. They charge extra if you want this option. Then they raised the price, and I declined due to raising the price. They were charging plenty for that option already. After the episode with the bad glasses, and raising the price of the optional retina photos, I looked around for another optometrist. I found Ohana Eye Care, down the street at 8671 W. Union Hills. The optometrist (Dr. Alice Kwok) is excellent, and uses a better camera for the retina photos where you sit comfortably with no smashing your face against a glass panel, and she does not charge anything extra for the retina photos (included!). She also has the equiment that produces a cross-sectional view (OCT scan) of your maculas. This is very important for older people who are more prone to macula problems. She has invested in the best equipment and you get more for your money with Dr. Kwok, and she is great deal with, answering all questions. I had two prescription glasses made there and they were perfect. Ditching Eye Tech Associates was the best thing for me. Try Ohana Eye Care.....far better
