  • I went to Florida cafe a few times a few years back and loved it! I always ordered the Cuban sandwich and it came with a pile of steak fries. The portions were good, and the food was tasteful. The wait staff was prompt, and attentive. I haven't been in a few years due to being out of town for work. However, I returned to Florida cafe on 6/10/15 with my girlfriend she was excited to go due to the rave reviews I had given it. We came in and was greeted by the waiter immediately and seated right away. We both ordered the Cuban sandwich and fries. Our mouths watered in anticipation. After about 10 minutes our food arrived and my disappointment showed on my face immediately. The sandwich was small and hardly filled at all, and the famous steak fries had been replaced with a dismal, small pile of over cooked previously frozen shoestring fries. The sandwich had little to no taste. The pulled pork was dry and flavorless and they used a couple ham cold cuts on top of that. The pickles were soggy too. However the waiter was good and kept our $3.00 a piece cokes filled up. I would not recommend Florida cafe to anyone. Sad that a few years ago I told everyone to try this place out. Really sad how much it's gone down hill.
