Spent two nights in Toronto and went to the Village Idiot both nights. We were staying within walking distance of the pub so it made sense to visit. Friday night we stopped after a concert and stayed until two. All of the wait staff were very helpful and attentive. I opted for the Red Rider IPA which was excellent. My wife opted for a Belgian beer and we had two friends with us. Very nice draft selection and reasonably priced.
Saturday we went back for dinner because the pub smelled fantastic the night before. My wife had the grilled cheese and poutine. I had the chicken Parmesan over pasta. We were both very happy with our meals. Our waiter was average at best which is why I knocked the bar down a star.
Overall, I really enjoyed both visits. This was a very nice bar with a great feel. I would definitely return.
