| - SHOULD BE NO STAR, and even that rating is too nice for this place.
I have been to this store numerous times. I love the place, although afraid to move in case there is a "you break it, you buy it" policy. Once I get over that fear, then GOLD MINE! My sister from San Fran used to fly out to visit this store too.
The problem with this place isn't the owners attitude, its that he like to take advantage of his customers.
Last visit, I fell in love with a gorgeous pair of red lamps. Insanely priced at $45 for the PAIR (shade not included, which was good because they were hideous). Decided on the spot to start that bedroom re-decorate project playing around in my brain for the last year. CONFIRMED THE PRICE WITH OWNER 3 TIMES, the drove like mad all over the valley choosing paint & fabric to showcase the lamps.
Went back to the store the next day to purchase and the lamps were suddenly "mispriced". They were $195 for the pair. Suddenly they were some really "awesome" manufacturer (google revealed this to be a LIE). My husband tried to negotiate down...we will pay cash, can you give us 10% off for the mix up?
A firm and surly "NO" was his response, and when my husband said he didn't think the owner had good business practices/customer service skills, the owner told my husband to "F*** Off".
Really? Really? I can getting hopping mad, but to "F off" over a lamp?
You F off, and I will take my business elsewhere (thank you online design sites and Lamps Plus for the perfect bedroom lamps)!
