My first impression when entering the restaurant is that the decor is beyond cheesy and dated. The server we had was very nice and very accommodating. I'm a little spoiled and picky when it comes to Thai food, due to the fact that I live Thailand and my wife is Thai, so I know what to expect when it comes to basic Thai food and I'm sorry to say this place did not not deliver my expectations. Anyhow, I had the pad see ew and green curry chicken. The pad see eww noodles were completely wrong. They use a chow fun noodle similar to the ones at a Chinese restaurant. The curry was ok in flavor, even though I feel it lack coconut milk. Both meals came with a funny red tasting fried rice that tasted sweet and a small vegetable egg roll which is similar to the one from Panda Express. Bottomline, they place will work for most people who wants inexpensive below average Thai food, but for those who experience real Thai food and understand the pallet of Thai flavored will find orchid Bangkok to be very disappointing.
