When I saw this place pop-up on my handy dandy yelp app, I thought now that sounds like a MUST visit while in AZ. What a fun kitschy idea for a lunch place to be centered around the whole lucha libre theme plus the food had great reviews!
At first entrance we were a little disappointed to see the place was literally the size of my closet. It was 110 outside and they only had two small tables in the inside. We almost left because there was no way I was sitting at their teeny tiny table outside in the heat and the only other place for us to go would've been to the hotel room to eat - no fun there. Luckily, as we were deciding what to eat one of the inside tables became available.
We ordered a couple things including the Thai Quesadilla, a couple of carne asada tacos and the carne asada fries. Well, the carne fries were definitely my favorites - loaded w very tasty meat and toppings. However, the Thai Quesadilla was a miss for me - the flavors were way too sweet and just not complementing each other well. I barely ate any of it. My friend loved her tacos and thought they were very good so perhaps I just should've ordered a more traditional type quesadilla.
All in all it was good and i'd give 'em another shot but make sure you have somewhere to take your food back to with AC or go in the fall/winter if you want to sit outside. ;)
