  • I suppose I should have waited a little longer to write a review. The problem was not fully investigated the first time they were here. Their solution did not work. No big deal, Recall. The second time, the gentleman who came said I have a freon leak somewhere but he wasn't sure where. I asked what the plan was. He said he checked the line outside, it didn't have any visible signs of leakage. So, his protocol was to recharge with freon and a leak stop and go. But he informed me he was relatively sure that the leak stop would not work. So, as suspected, call number 3 rolls around - the third time in the middle of an Arizona summer without working AC. The original tech comes out and does a 20 minute inspection on the handler unit, and says the leak is in the dry wall - they are going to have to tear up the house and he isn't even sure what that will cost or if it will be covered under my home warranty. They will call and give me a quote at some point. So, now at this point, I am told it will take at least a week to follow up, which I receive no follow up. And in general, when you call there 50% of the time they are on top of things, and the other 50% of the time you call you go through the strangest round of questions and attitude while you explain why you would dare to interrupt this person's day by calling. Anyway, after having enough of this, and needing a second opinion anyway, before someone tears up my house I call the Home Warranty program. They dispatch a new AC repair company. This guy took a few hours doing a solid inspection of all of the moving parts, putting the system under pressure, testing, etc. and low and behold comes up with the leak in the coil - no drywall ripping required. One thorough inspection could have saved me DAYS that I had to work at home in 110+ degree weather over the summer to fix a very routine problem.
