  • This place caught my eye because of it's fun, trendy atmosphere vibe and the sassy menu (check it out online - you'll see what I mean) made me think this place was worth trying. What better time to try it then on a fun date night with the fiance? Well, it's definitely got the fun, trendy atmosphere and yep, the menu is still amusingly sassy and clever. As for the food, well...the sushi is....decent. I believe another earlier yelper described it perfectly as "passable." Don't get me wrong, it wasn't bad in any way it just wasn't as good as other sushi I've had. My fiance and I ordered three rolls between the two of us and we felt that it was mostly rice, not enough fish and not enough flavor. The spicy tuna was just not spicy enough for me - not enough sriracha in my opinion - but that's just me. Overall, our stomachs left Moto Sushi satisfied from hunger but not overly excited about anything else. Plus, I have to share that I had my most strange sushi restaurant experience while at Moto when the couple on a date at the table next to ours loudly proclaimed that they hate seafood and proceeded to order buffalo chicken wings - which they then ate with chopsticks - just baffled me. It must be the combination of the sushi and the customers but I just didn't feel like I was in the right place for a great Japanese dinner. It almost felt like it was a restaurant that just happened to serve sushi but everything else about the place doesn't match. It just felt....off. It may be worth going back just to see what else is on their clever, sassy menu but only if we happen to be in the area.
