Fairview Mall has come a long way in the past ten years. I remember when this mall was dated and living in the shadows of Scarborough Town Centre, Yorkdale and the Eaton Centre.
Not anymore. This place has high end fashion stores, has a great Apple store and has really improved its look and decor to stand out amongst the other malls in Toronto.
It's great, there is a theatre that has changed owners several times in the past 10 years but now is a Cineplex Odeon establishment. There is a library that is quite large with full facilities across from the theatre and it is connected to the Sheppard-Yonge subway line making it very convenient for individuals who don't drive.
The food court has stepped it up and has a variety of offerings but I almost always stick to the brand name ones (McDonalds, Starbucks, Taco Bell etc).
The two anchor stores are Sears and Hudson Bay Company while some could say that SportsChek & Shoppers Drug Mart occupy themselves as the unofficial third anchor points in the mall.
There is a very nice LCBO and several banks including TD Bank & Royal Bank (RBC).
It's a great mall. You won't be disappointed.
