  • I'm a fan of Luchita's, and have been to ones in differing locations in the city, many times. Last time I dined at the Ridge Road location, a friend loved her tortilla soup. Hubby happy with his choice. I ordered what a patron at a neighboring table had, a steak quesadilla. Not on the menu but they would accommodate.Tasty but way overpriced as I saw when I received the bill. It was in the mid-teens for a large tortilla, some steak strips, and avocado. We had some of their fantastic salsa left on our table, in our small bowl as well as in the serving carafe. I asked if we could take the salsa home. Was told from nervous server that we could purchase it. (By the way we didn't request more in hopes of doing this, we just had plenty left over.). Asked same question from manager/owner. Same reply of we could buy it. Was told by him that he could reuse the salsa that was in the carafe. Apparently state law permits that. The carafe's design is very slender on the top; a patron wouldn't be able to stick a tortilla chip into it, but still...yuck! I don't want to eat someone's recycled salsa. Manager/owner was rude to boot. Haven't been back. Will only patronize the 117th location from now on.
