I made an appointment to get my broken wrist casted with Dr. Scott Edwards at the CORE Institute. I was very surprised that they were able to get me in right away. I soon found out that although the scheduler at CORE thought Dr. Edwards' schedule was wide open, it was actually booked solid. They didn't even have me on the list when I went to the office. They told me to come back at 3 and they would try to get me in. I waited 2.5 hours from 3 to 5:30 until he saw me. The next time I made an appointment with CORE and verified with Banner, but when I got to the office, again they didn't have the appointment. They sent me home to come back the following week. When I finally saw him, Dr. Edwards blew through the room with his medical student talking only to her and left before telling me when I should get my cast off. I have tried to contact the office repeatedly over the phone to find out when to get the cast removed, but they have not returned my calls in over a week. On top of that Dr. Edwards charged me for setting my wrist, which was done at the ER before I ever saw him. They haven't returned my phone calls about that either. Aside from horrendous scheduling, little time spent with patients, and the billing fraud, Dr. Edwards seemed to be pretty knowledgeable in his field.
