  • I can't say enough good things about this ice cream place! I did my undergraduate at Pitt and frequently went to get ice cream there and continue to go there during grad school. My building is right across the street and sometimes you just need Dave and Andy's before a long class. One of my favorite things about this place is that you can smell the waffle cones when you walk by. I always get a waffle cone because they are simply the best. They are light and just melt in your mouth. I rarely get the same flavor when I go because I think it's important to be adventurous. I honestly have not had a flavor that I didn't like. I recently went there and had cookies and cream, which is an oldie but a goodie. I would also recommend any of their ice creams with coffee in it and their mint chocolate chip. The place itself is small, but I always like to get my ice cream and go eat it out in the sunshine. It has always been very clean inside and very orderly. The workers have always been pleasant and very patient and helpful when you do not know what you want. TIP: This is place is cash only!
