| - This was a nice treat!! We were there to celebrate my birthday - if you sign up for their emails, they give you a free birthday entree which is a great deal as this place is a bit pricey. Of course my certificate was received one day too late, but we will just have to return :) The French onion soup lived up to the hype! My husband ordered a 12 oz filet which was phenomenal, could have cut it with a fork it was so tender. I ordered the peppercorn chicken, and thankfully they serve the sauce on the side because it was not my favorite. This chicken and the potatoes au gratin were sadly bland, not "bad" but lacked depth of flavor. The chicken is split with the bones in it, and had a nice crusty skin, so I was surprised when it didn't have a lot of flavor going on. The truffle fries were sooo good, really glad we ordered them and would do it again. The bread is also very tasty and they serve a huge portion. I couldn't make it through my meal so I skipped desert, next time!
Some reviews have mentioned parking being rough, but I didn't think it was bad, free parking garage close by. The worst part is walking through clouds of smoke on the Casino floor to get to the rear of the building and up the escalator to Shula's. They can't help that, but it is annoying to walk through that on the way to a fancy meal.
