  • I first tried this place out with the Groupon for 1 month of unlimited classes. You have to book classes ahead of time and I was a little nervous when I saw they were booked out a couple weeks that getting in would be difficult. They setup a waitlist for each class though and about 90% I was on one I ended up getting in when others cancelled or switched classes. If you need to cancel they give you up until an hour before the class or you will be charged. I like the policy because its plenty generous in case I actually have a good reason I need to cancel but keeps me from skipping when I'm just tired or lazy. Shelly was my trainer for my first class and she was great at giving me an overview of how the workout was setup and how to do the basic punches/kicks. I still managed to get a little lost a couple times in my first class but I eventually got the hang of it. Don't expect this to be a serious boxing lesson, this is a fitness class that incorporates boxing. Its meant to be a fun way to get in a workout, not train you for a fight. The class is essentially a circuit of 15-16 stations with either a focus on cardio or on specific muscle groups. Its a tough workout but time goes by quickly and I usually have fun doing it. Definitely be prepared to sweat, it gets warm in the gym and you are moving non-stop. You definitely get out of the class what you put in. All the trainers are good at keeping you motivated, calling you out when your slacking as well as encouraging you when you're working hard. They'll also help you out if your form is off or give you modifications if you're struggling. After my Groupon month I really struggled with whether or not to continue because I am admittedly pretty cheap and I wasn't sure I could commit to the price. Ultimately I decided paying a bit more than I'm used to for a gym is worth it if I'm actually enjoying it and am seeing results. I feel like I'm getting a workout I wouldn't be motivated enough to do on my own.
