Horrible to say the least. I was admitted in Emergency on Oct 8, 2011 due to fractured lead which was causing AICD to provide inappropriate shocks for a total of 60 over a 2.5 hour period of time. All the while I was being told no reason for this device to be doing this as your heart is in sinus rhythm. but the er doctor chose to do absolutely nothing, allowing me to continue to be shocked. Medtronic representative came in finally after 2.5 hours and immediately turned off the device. The ER doc is in my opinion practicing medicine, and I am using the word practicing meaning he does not know what he is doing. I would in no way recommend or use this facility. they should have transferred me either to cardiac or shut off the implant so that I was not continually shocked for no reason at all. I now refer to this hospital at Banner Desert Center Tire and Hair Care Center.
