  • Hot Star is a popular Taiwanese chain that made its way to toronto these past few months. The restaurant similar to a fast food layout: you line up to order, line up to pick up and then wait for your huge piece of fried, crispy, deliciousness. I decided to go with the spicy with salt and pepper flavour classic chicken cutlet as well as the green apple yoghurt drink. Despite a 20 min wait, the chicken is crunchy, juicy and perfectly seasoned. Did I mention how large it is?? I was famished that day and I still couldn't finish. The only down sides I would say is the lack of options and protein overkill. They do not offer any sides despite the deceiving menu, although this may change in the future. I would revisit if I ever have a craving for fried chicken, although it probably would not happen for a while.
