This review is based solely on one specific experience. I should preface that by saying that this is a place I come to for dinner at least once every month or two.
I love lots of things about Pint Central but the experience we had tonight just plain sucked. The restaurant was not crowded (maybe 1/3 full, max) but service was extremely, extremely slow. No apologies or explanation when it took several minutes from when we sat down till we first saw our server (that's fine, it happens) and no apologies or explanation when it took 35+ minutes to get our food (basic sandwiches from the menu, nothing tricky whatsoever). We didn't see our server at all between ordering the food and then getting it 35+ minutes later. That part is not cool - I definitely would have liked to have our presence/status of the food/drink refills at least recognized. Once the meals finally came, the server asked if we'd like any sauces on the side and recommended a horseradish aioli among other things. We agreed to try that and a couple others. When the bill came, each sauce had a $.50 up charge. That is fine to charge for sauces - but not cool to not tell us up front! The whole experience was just super disappointing. I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1 because the food was mostly fine when it did come out. I will say that about half of the roasted potatoes were undercooked but by that point I was so hungry that I didn't really care.
Will I go back? Maybe. I love supporting local places in the neighborhood, but Pint Central needs to up their game if they want to build/keep loyal customers.
