  • I'm actually not sure how to begin this, so I'm just going to start at the beginning and let you decide... Four of us choice this steakhouse because it was the only one in Vegas with 4.5 stars. The other high end spots had a max of 4. Personally I've always been a fan of Jean Georges at Aria but they were booked tonight so we had to pick a new spot and so I made the command decision to go with the highest rated. Biggest mistake I've ever made. Things started off behind. We showed up ok time for our reservation at 800, only to stand in the lobby for another 10 minutes while they mustered up the enthusiasm to seat is at one of the empty tables. We order crab cake, king crab and salads to start. Crab cake was good. King crab okay. But then the real insanity began. The first came out scallops on a plate smothered with a thick sort of teriyaki soy blend paste that was so powerful, I recoiled upon taste. Unfortunately it wasn't strong enough to mask the flavor of the scallop which was clearly a few days old and or frozen (very thick, like a meat not a fresh scallop) if I you do choose the scallops, pair them within sautéed mushroom...why, because these canned caps will have the same dense flavorless texture and taste. Then here comes the Double Eagle prime strip, which I asked for a thin line of Pink, but like my friend and her hubby all meats, Lamb, Filet and Strip were rare. The filet and strip were sent back with once again specific instructions to have them just a line of pink. ****to be fair, I never send back steak, why? Because inevitably the cook is gonna take it personally as if we're insulting their taste buds and my dinner is gonna come back burnt. Before the plate hit the table I could tell it was over cooked. The plate was radiating heat around 800*Fahrenheit leaving nothing more than a lump of low grade dog food. (Which I'll talk about in a minute) The manager asks what's wrong. And at this point I say, "nothing" because I'm no longer interested in playing this game. I just want to go but they insist to pick something else at it won't be charged. So I ask for a filet and a box to pick the dog food in so my puppy can at least benefit from my night out. The waiter tells me, "don't worry about the box, we'll take care of that after its all done" What happens, my filet comes out and in the drop off, they steal back my dog food and leave me with the remains of the only meat that came out all night that was anything near a real piece of meat. But to be honest, now that I'm home, I would have rather brought the dog food home. At least I know he would enjoy it. Because none of what I ate feels good in my stomach. I feel genuinely robbed!!! Mind you...we've been ready to leave for the last 10-15 min but we can't leave because no one stops by our table anymore to see how we're doing. Finally after going to find someone myself, they ambush is with a lemon dessert cake and the check. ***thats right, the check, which still has the other two pieces of meat that were undercooked as well as the untouched mushrooms. $300 and when I look back and try and remember what I ate...I honestly can't remember. Couple bites of bland lettuce. Half a filet. A two bites too many of food and sauces so disgusting, you wouldn't serve it to a volunteer shelter with a good conscience. Come to think of it, I would have rather, done a spa day, then watched the Mayweather fight again before stopping by chipotle. At least then my nails would be done. I have NO idea how they achieved this rating, they must give away free meals to elite yelpers because I dare say if you just had 10 regular yelpers dine in and give ratings, your have 2-3 star tops and only because average customer feels bad for writing a negative review. Ps-in the spirit of full disclosure, the manger did come out with the intention of making it right. Her intentions were good. So she gets a thanks. But the rest, is upsetting when think anymore about it.
