  • Years ago, I started a "Yelp sent me here" list. I haven't added many businesses to that list, even though I rely on Yelp quite heavily when I'm scoping out a new city. Yelp sent me to Fresh Start, and I am happy to report that the recommendation was solid. Looking around, you'll notice that there is lots of coffee in this neighborhood, including a large Lavazza store across the street! The fact that FSCC has found its niche in this competitive market speaks well for this coffee company. I came by soon after the morning opening (6:30AM) for a large coffee "for here" and a pastry. I selected an almond croissant, which worked out well. There were something like five coffees to choose from, but after rejecting the flavored coffees and the very mild "breakfast blend," I was left with a much narrower choice. I asked for the Columbia and liked it quite a bit! I got a WiFi code (a 10-digit number, handed to me on a strip of paper) and used it to read the day's news while I was sipping my coffee. I liked the personnel and felt immediately at home. I'll be back!
