  • Hubby and I were looking for a place to dine on a recent Friday night. The week had been long and we were weary so quick and easy was the plan. Found Stumpy's on Yelp and couldn't resist the opportunity to eat at a place with such a name! Plus pizza is our favorite food group. The space is not very big but they were quite busy while we were there. We ordered a pizza to split and grabbed a table. All the workers there were friendly and seemed to genuinely enjoy being there. Even late on a Friday night. Everything smelled wonderful and we drooled over a couple of sandwiches we saw. Our pie came quickly and was just the right size for sharing. The crust was crispy with a chewy-ness - not quite a thin crust but not a thick crust either. The flavor of the sauce was good, not overly sweet or spicy, a happy medium. The amount of cheese and toppings was just right. It was not my favorite pizza pie of all time but I do think it might be my new #2 for pizza in Phoenix!
