  • My budget wouldn't allow me to find a safe and decent place to live, so I decided to rent an apartment here because it was something that I could afford. I didn't have any issues with bugs, but the walls were thin enough to hear your neighbors. The laundry room was filthy and some of the washers and dryers were inoperable conditions. Even though maintenance did pick-up trash on a regular basis, some of the residents didn't bother cleaning up after their animals. The property has changed management companies twelve times during the length of my stay. There was always someone new at the leasing office every time I stopped by to submit maintenance requests, load funds into my laundry card or paid my rent. I was coming home from work late one night when I was sexually assaulted by an unknown male that I haven't seen before. He tried to force his way in to my apartment after I rejected his sexual advances. I assumed he understood the message by leaving, but I caught him sitting in front of my window. During the phone conversation with the non-emergency operator, he was pounding on my door. Due to a lack evidence, law enforcement was unable to arrest him and that infuriated me. I was being followed to my apartment for crying out loud and he had the nerve to lie about his ulterior motive. Fortunately, I was able to get him trespassed at my request. I no longer felt safe and had several months left on my lease. I discussed my situation with the property manager and I was allowed to move out early. It was worth not getting my security deposit back. The apartment is located in a tough neighborhood. This is a problem area and law enforcement knows it. I witnessed drug transactions, homeless people sitting on the staircases and heard gunshots on numerous occasions. I personally wouldn't recommend living here. If you're looking for something safe and decent, this apartment isn't one of them.
