I have had internet grocery delivery in Seattle area that was flawless. It is a great concept and saves significant time. The other service allowed one to create specific shopping lists and to shop by recipe (you click on leg of lamb dinner for 4 and it produces a complete shopping list for that recipe). You can meal plan and click produce a shopping list and wallah.
Von's website is okay. I found that it is best to select no substitutions if you need specific amounts or brands.
The first time I ordered groceries, the driver showed up on time and delivered about 95% of what I ordered.
The second time I used the service, the driver simply didn't show up and didn't call as they are supposed to do. The service was notified, and the service rescheduled the delivery for two days later. We waited 4 hours and the driver never came and, again, no call. The third attempt to get the groceries was the next day and they arrived, but the meat quantities didn't match the order, bananas were black and smashed, received lemons instead of limes, and potatoes were old and blighted.
You should definitely check the inventory sheet to see that you received what you ordered. To Von's credit they did remove the damaged or bad produce and errors from my bill promptly.
I am hoping that this experience is anomalous, and that I will be able to update this review with better results in the future. I would like Von's internet delivery service to be reliable and trustworthy. At this point the jury is out.
