  • If you are looking for a no-fuss, quality spot for some of the best dumplings in town (from literally the nicest old man owner in the entirety of Madison), head on over to DumplingHaus. I have been enjoying their house dumplings since they were located across the street inside Hilldale Mall. Their portions are relatively large; I would recommend three entrees for two people and then treating the food like tapas. When I'm in the mood for something a little bit heartier, I will get their cold peanut noodle dish, which is essentially thick noodle, peanut sauté, freshly sliced cucumbers and crushed peanuts. The interior looks like a scene out of Zoey 101 (a reference for all of my millennials out there), meaning that I would not call DumplingHaus a place of authenticity, but rather somewhere along the lines of funky.
