We have Cox Security and have had periodic problems with the base unit. At one point the battery expanded setting our alarm off in the middle of the night and the unit would not register my code to turn off due to a delay resulting from the battery issue.
Fast forward and our alarm started to beep periodically requiring another battery replacement. Booked an appointment as this is not a normal battery. Sat for the required 2 hour service time window and received a call from Cox five minutes before the window expired to let me know that a person was sick and they needed to expand the window by another 2 hours. Of course they could have called me at any point prior to let me know that no one was on the way but they operate at their convenience. I found the person that called me to be flat, and unapologetic.
