  • The Plaza doesn't have the best fries ever. It doesn't have the best food ever. Plaza sauce is great on my burger, but it's not the most amazing burger ever. You can find similar drink specials anywhere in Madison. Sometimes there's a stupid line that you have to wait in. So what is so great about The Plaza? Two words: Bubble Hockey. Flash back to 1983. The Cold War ended but there's still tension and resentment between USA and USSR. What better way to settle things than on the ice? We all know how the 1980 Olympic game turned out... (I'll sound really stupid if the teams aren't USA v. USSR and are UW v. someone else instead. I just can't remember. Too many beers...) Always good times and good memories at The Plaza.
