| - My love for candy is insane. If I could go to every single candy store in the world, I would, just so I could be surrounded by the sweet stuff every day of my life. Just call me Willy Wonka. I'm not crazed for M&M's but they're in my top 50 at least.
It was pretty fun to look at all the cool M&M merch and get pics taken with the giant M&M figurines. It helped kill an hour or so. I think there was some kind of movie attraction too, but we went late at night and it was closed for the day.
That's where the fun stopped for me though. We had about 30 people attend our Vegas wedding and wanted to get some pink and white M&Ms to put on the table at our wedding dinner for people to munch on and obviously to enhance the presence of my wedding colors. I don't remember how much it was per pound, but that's the first and last time I've ever spent nearly $80 on some M&Ms. If my mom would have found out how much I spent, she first - would have had a heart attack. (She only spends money on necessities and believes that even going to a movie theater or out to dinner is a "luxury.") Second - she may have disowned me. Had she known of my plan for color specific M&Ms, she would have bought the Valentine M&Ms on 75% in March and save them until September for my wedding. (Also, she would make me pick out the red ones and use them for cookies -- that way not even one M&M gets wasted.)
I had the best wedding ever and willingly spent the money, so I'm not upset nor do I regret it, I'm just warning of the high cost of the colored M&Ms. I just always think when you go to the flagship store, the candy should cost less since the overhead is lower, but what do I know anyway?
